{"id":3233,"date":"2014-10-30T17:33:00","date_gmt":"2014-10-30T17:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/liquid.tech\/?post_type=news&#038;p=3233"},"modified":"2024-08-01T11:15:59","modified_gmt":"2024-08-01T11:15:59","slug":"liquid_intelligent_technologies_named_best_african_wholesale_carrier_for_third_year_running","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/liquid.tech\/about-us\/news\/liquid_intelligent_technologies_named_best_african_wholesale_carrier_for_third_year_running\/","title":{"rendered":"Liquid Intelligent Technologies named Best African Wholesale Carrier for third year running"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Liquid Intelligent Technologies triumphed yet again at last night\u2019s prestigious Global Carrier awards held in Amsterdam, picking up the two awards for telecoms in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liquid Intelligent Technologies was named&nbsp;<em>Best African Wholesale Carrier<\/em>&nbsp;for the third year running, beating stiff competition from Bharti Airtel, Internet Solutions and WIOCC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company also took home the award for&nbsp;<em>Best African Project&nbsp;<\/em>for its work in building the East Africa Fibre Ring, after being shortlisted alongside projects from AMS-IX, Infinera, Ooredoo and World Telecom Labs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The East Africa Data Centre, which is part of The Liquid Intelligent Technologies Group, was also shortlisted in the global category of&nbsp;<em>Best Data Centre<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nic Rudnick, Liquid Intelligent Technologies\u2019s CEO, was also one of five executives recognised for their contribution to the telecoms industry and described as a leader in driving connectivity to inland Africa. He was also recently named as the most powerful and influential person in the African telecoms industry by Global Telecoms Business magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nic Rudnick said \u201cWe are an ambitious and innovative organisation determined to continue investing in and improving telecoms in Africa because we believe that every individual has the right to be connected. Recognition by our peers is always appreciated by myself and the entire Liquid Intelligent Technologies team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Global Carrier Awards have become the biggest and most prestigious awards event of the wholesale telecoms industry. They focus on the contribution of individuals, companies and technology partners that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of carrier services in the past 12 months.
